Soft Touch Wire is like no other. Soft Touch Wire is available in 4 diameters, .010, .014, .019, and .024, with each spool clearly marking its appropriate use, right on the label. Constructed of either 7, 21, or 49 micro woven stainless steel wires, Soft Touch Wire is so soft, you will not believe it is wire! It offers the same great performance as our Original Soft Flex Wire, but with 50% more suppleness, giving more life and movement to your jewelry designs. The purpose of our products is to eliminate the frustrating task of re-stringing your designs due to cutting and breakage. We recommend you consider the abrasion level of the beads you are stringing in order to determine the appropriate diameter of Soft Touch Wire you will need. The thicker the wire, the better resistance to breakage it will have.
.014 is designed for softer, less abrasive materials such as freshwater pearls and seed beads. Diameter .014 offers the softness and flexibility of pearl stringing threads yet has the strength of stainless steel.
We are excited to share that our wire is environmentally friendly! All stainless steel used in the construction of Soft Flex products is 100% recyclable. Our nylon coating is derived from renewable resources and can be recycled. Our spools show the recycled logo on the underside, they can be recycled along with the clips. Just tear off the label as you would with any recyclable item in your very own kitchen and put the empty spool into your recycling bin.
