Hi, my name is Heather & with much support from my partner Lexie, Over the Rainbow was launched online in 2004 from the basement of our house. Over the Rainbow has slowly grown into a warehouse based online store with a team of awesome staff and two four legged attention seeking dogs – Our newest addition is Karmann (4 years) on the left, a Mini Schnauzer & on the right is Imogen our gorgeous Shih Tzu Poodle cross rescue dog (16 & going strong!).
I began my creative career as a Knitwear Designer & had a range of knitwear called Wombat Woolies back in the 1970’s, then an Australiana shop called True Blue in Carlton. I have an enduring passion for fiber arts and when I get time love to spin, hand & machine knit.
After this I trained as an Occupational Therapist then travelled to the USA in the early 90’s to work – While there I fell in love with polymer clay and travelled across the US to attend workshops with some talented & amazing polymer clay artists.
Over the Rainbow’s range is extensive with over 35,000 products & new products arrive daily. Our products include polymer clay, tools, beads, crystals, resin, books, stringing supplies, metal stamping supplies, craft wire and much more. We are Australian distributors for Beadsmith, Beadalon, TierraCast, ImpressArt, Vintaj, Kato, Cernit and many other brands. Our mission is to seek out the latest trending international jewellery products to offer our customers at the lowest pricing we can sell them at.
Our location is the beautiful beach suburb Seaford, Melbourne. Our business is located in the traditional country of the Bunurong people and we wish to acknowledge them as Traditional Owners .
