2mm woven waxed cotton cord is waxed in paraffin so it will not fray. This is a very popular pendant cording. It looks like leather, but it's stronger and colourfast. We recommend using our 2mm cord ends with this product.Made in the U.S.A. - best quality!
Waxed cotton can feel a little stiff when it is new due to the wax on the surface but quickly softens up once worn - batches do vary in how much wax is applied. If cord is particularly waxy the problem can be fixed by despooling a length of cord, and placing it on a tray in a warm oven for a short time which causes the excess wax to absorb into the cord (information given by a customer).
Note - Where you order multiples of 1 metre or a 10 metre roll it is in a continuous length wherever possible.
