Czech glass fire polished beads are lead-free and machine faceted, they are melted ever so slightly in huge ovens to smooth out their surfaces and edges. This "polishing" process gives fire polished beads their distinctive brilliance and artisan feel. Czech firepolish beads are an economical quality alternative to crystal beads.
