Moiko Silk Screen - 74x105mm - Design 15.18 - Reindeer + Mountains

Silk Screens measuring 74x105mm (A7) are handmade in Poland by Gosia.  They are designed to use onto polymer clay but can be used with other materials such as porcelain or ceramic clay.

Screen printing tips:

• Use an acrylic paint with the gel/toothpaste consistency.
• Don't let the acrylic paint dry on the screen,
• Wash your screen directly after usage in cool, running water (acrylics get permanent when heated), add a little bit of detergent at the end.  If you put silk screen into water container after printing, check carefully your screen is not floating on the surface of water - it should be immersed completely, otherwise acrylic dries on the surface in contact with air.
• After washing a screen leave it dry on the paper towel, don't leave ‘glued’ by water to the sink, as photosensitive emulsion can stay on a sink when a screen dries,
• Some acrylics never dry on polymer clay - they enter into a chemical reaction with polymer clay – Jacquard Neopaque or Lumiere or Deco Art are two brands we recommend that work well
• Bake your finished piece as per the package instructions and cool
• If you are using Jacquard Acrylic Paint it heat bonds to the clay so no need to seal.  If you desire however you can apply a coat of polymer compatible varnish once cooled.
