Attaching an Earwire

Learn how to open and close the loop on your ear wire and attach a bead, tassel or charm.

Tools needed

• Chain nose pliers
• Bent nose pliers

Step 1

Hold one side of the loop on the ear wire with your chain nose pliers, and the other side with your bent nose pliers. Open the ear wire by moving one side towards you.

Step 2

Attach your bead, tassel or charm to the loop. Hold the open side of the ear wire with your bent nose  pliers.

Step 3

With your chain nose pliers move the open side of the loop back until the loop is closed. Your bead, tassel or charm should now be securely attached.
