How to use your new Coloured Water Transfer: Condition and prepare your polymer clay, cut it out using your favourite cutters. Bake your clay according to manufacturers recommendations. Sand your clay pieces ensuring the surface you wish to place the decal on is smooth and dust free. Turn decal sheet over so you are looking at the backside, trace around your shape (desired decal design side facing the white backing of decal paper). Cut out your shape using your scissors, making sure you cut on the inside of your traced line. Place the decal in clean room temperature water, submerge for 30-60 seconds or until the backing paper slides off easily. Remove the decal from the water. Place the decal on your clay piece being gentle and careful not to tear. Slowly slide the white backing paper from between the clay piece and the image. Using a wet finger very gently push out any water from behind the decal or any air bubbles. Allow to dry naturally for 3 hours out of direct sunlight.
*Important Step* Cure your decal in the oven at 110 degrees Celsius for 15 minutes, allow to cool slowly. Remove piece and coat with desired resin or favourite sealant, pieces must be sealed or design will rub off. VOILA! Your masterpiece is complete!
Clay Recommendations: Coral Cockatoo recommends that you use your new Colour Water Transfers with a good quality smooth clay like Sculpey Premo! or Cernit No.1 Polymer Clay.
