5.2mm (OD) 14K Gold Filled Split Rings
Much more secure than a jump ring because split rings are built exactly like miniature key rings. It can't pull open and doesn't have a potentially open spot for cord to pull through. Split ring pliers and split ring tweezers make these very easy to use.
